Alternative Health: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advancements
Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition that causes debilitating fatigue and malaise with no other signs of illness. Many chronic fatigue syndrome advancements have been made over the past 20 years. In the early 80s, chronic fatigue was nicknamed the yuppie flu because most people who sought treatment for it were professionals from the upper middle class. Studies show that these were the only people who sought treatment, however they were not the only people who were suffering from the disease. Recent studies have shown that people from all walks of life suffer from the disease. However, 59 percent of people diagnosed with the disorder are women.
Chronic fatigue syndrome is difficult to diagnose because its symptoms mimic those of several other conditions such as anemia, sleep apnea, narcolepsy, depression, bipolar disorder and mononucleosis. Many people who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome also experience headaches, sore throats, memory loss and muscle aches and pains. Many patients say that they feel as if they are suffering from a hangover most of the time.
Discoveries and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advancements
Doctors and scientists still dont know what it is that causes this disorder. Chronic fatigue syndrome advancements and research has shown that the condition may be linked to high levels of toxins in the environment. Exposure to toxins can put a large amount of strain on the immune system. Other possible triggers of chronic fatigue syndrome are recent illnesses, allergies and nutritional deficiency.
Not many chronic fatigue syndrome advancements have been made in the way of treatment. This is because it is difficult to treat a disease when you dont know what causes it. Many studies have shown that glyconutrients can help to decrease the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. Providing stable nutrients with all eight of the necessary monosaccharides in the diet can only help the outcome of a patient suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
